The Minimob is a collection of Canadians of all ages that met up racing all forms of motorcycles in central Canada, from roadracers to motocrossers to ice racers. This small group of racing fanatics decided to scale back the competitive ‘big bike' racing back in 2000. We bought ourselves a whole bunch of Honda XR50s and rode the crap out of ‘em. We rode them all year round, on dirt, asphalt, and on ice. We found that it didn't matter what speed we were racing at, as long as we were racing. Of course we bent them, we broke them, but we couldn't kill them. One of us showed up at the track with a secretly installed big bore kit, and proceeded to smoke the rest of the field. That was the day Minimob Racing was formed. Before Marzocchi and Pitster Pro and the never ending list of brands had upgrades available for these little bikes, we were swapping front ends off old XR75s, MR50s and KLX110s so we could jump the 50s a little higher and a little longer. We were grinding coil pickup mounts to advance timing. Shaving flywheels for a little more rev pickup, and milling aluminum brackets to adapt mountain bike downhill brake calipers to work with Polini disc brake wheels. It's not because we had to. It's just the nature of the beast. Racers will be racers, no bike is ever complete, and a racer is always looking for that little advantage.

Jump forward to 2007, and the whole industry has grown up right before our eyes. Minis from 50cc to 150cc. CNC billet aluminum frames. Adjustable rear ride height. Bikes of every caliber and an endless supply of performance upgrades of varying quality. Pit bike heaven. Except, with this many choices, and no industry standards, how do we know what to buy. Will this swingarm fit my frame? Will this shock spring be too stiff? Is a GPX engine the same as a Jialing? Do I want to upgrade or buy a new ride? And so MinimobRacing.com was born. Created in 2007 to offer quality products for all types of minis. Combined with the knowledge of what fits what, and what can handle the punishment of today's riders.
